14st 9.5lb
So this is my starting point. This morning it was my instinct to try to cover up as much of my wobbly bits as possible, to do my hair & makeup and breathe in! But then I thought 'no, just do it'. Like I can be bothered to put makeup on every morning? ha ha nope!
I have to say that I don't look quite as bad as I had dreaded (its a good mirror) but my weight says it all. As a little wee lass of 5' 3" on a tall day day (an inch less on a short day) my weight is unhealthy, and lets be honest not very attractive, and I'm at a higher risk of developing diabetes, cancer, heart disease etc this list goes on and I'm pretty sure you know it all anyway...hence this blog!
Of course what I want to know is how the hell did I get this fat? But that's a story for tomorrow.

Great start to the blog Gilly, I admire your candid baseline. What milestones do you have? From my personal perspective I find diet and weightloss more achievable when I set some short, medium and long term goals. My current targets are 20lbs by the 15th July then maintain that weight until the Great North Run where I'm aiming for 1HR 45 (sub 2HR if it's a hot day).
ReplyDeleteGood luck I'm sure you will achieve great result, I'll keep reading your blog.

To be honest I've not really thought about it. However I guess you're right. Let me sleep on it. My next blog on Friday will have my plans in terms of goals. I will try your short, medium and long term as a starting point. Thanks x
