Surely, I'm not the only one that perhaps does something knowing it's potentially bad for them? Please?
So my bad? Ok we need sunshine - fact! We should be sat outside, with no SPF for 20 minutes every day to ensure we get the essential vitamin D. Sunlight during the day (with darkness at night) helps us to sleep. And, for lots of people who have the condition SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) the sun makes us feel good. However, that being said the sun on our skin in bad. Makes us wrinkly and old, and can cause cancer. But I love having a tan and feel so much better with one aka more attractive (so shoot me). Now, don't forget that the process of getting tanned means that you can burn. Burning your skin is really bad! So before I go on holiday I use sunbeds to get a base tan. This absolutely helps me not to burn, 100%! But (there's always a but) sunbeds are really really bad! Obviously, I could not use a sunbed, I could not try to get a tan, I could not go to hot countries on holiday, I could stay in the not so sunny UK and stay peely-wally! But, hey, who wants to do that? Not me. I'm bad.
I took my own advice yesterday. Mark and I were shopping in Aberdeen and I bought some new jeans at M&S. I didn't try them on, just grabbed a size 12 (instead of my usual, just presuming I need size 14). I got a bit nervous that they'd actually fit (and really thought they probably wouldn't) so when we popped into Ellie's flat I tried them on. Drum roll....OMG they fitted me perfectly! A size 12 jean. One of my all time goals. To say I was happy is an understatement! Joys upon joy!
My lovely valentine's flowers (don't be silly, not from Mark) were even less than half price. They were free! A charity brings reduced flowers to work but there were so many we didn't have space, or vases for them, so staff got to take some home. They are beautiful with a cute little teddy to boot, and still alive today. Whoop whoop. Below is our valentine's table (on the kitchen island as the dining room is still being decorated).
We have a few days away next week which I shall tell you about on Friday. Have a great week and may life be good to you!
Worry doesn't take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace.
