Small changes, big desserts
Current weight : 15st 1lb
Weight change : -0.5lb
Total loss : 1lb
Oh boy it's going to take me quite a few years at a rate of half lb per week! Note to self : must try harder! Although a friend reminded me this week that losing just 3.5lb per month (which is infact less that 1lb per week - so I'm kinda on schedule) is 3 stone in a year! Wow. Easy to forget that every little loss adds up to bigger loss.
The above conversation happened over dinner with a few friends. This was her dessert (I had apple crumble). Now I believe that quite a few people will look at the cheesecake and go wow! (Unless you are one of the weird people who don't like creme eggs - weirdos). And some of you will look at the picture and it will have no appeal at all. But my hypothesis is that (generally) the folk that don't take a fancy to this thousand + calorie laden dessert is naturally thin. But hey, that's just a thought - no idea how to prove it. Unless I go to a survey in the street - which I won't. My Facebook pals could leave a post if you like and I'll figure it out for next week. Go on...I know you're dying to prove me wrong!
So, netball? Next week we have our first match (I had no idea that this was part of the package) and it's at the local Academy, playing against their team i.e. teenagers! OMG! They will howl with laughter when they see us. Now don't get me wrong - my team are not made up with ladies as old and fat as me (I am actually the oldest and fattest) but still!? We are not teenagers by any stretch of the imagination. I think we will be annihilated.
So this week I learnt that small changes can have big results!
After Tuesday even the calendar goes W T F.
