I have two new best friends.


Weight today: 14 9½
Weight loss this week: 3½
Weight loss total: 9½lbs

(that's in 19 days, plus a possible extra lb for the first day I forget to weigh myself to get a starting weight! Whoop!)

So yes, I have two great new friends. They are called mushrooms and sugar free jelly. Mushrooms are so filling and chunky and versatile. Fried mushrooms with bacon for breakfast. Sauteed with garlic with side salad for lunch. Chopped up small to bulk out my bean stew. They go with everything and are substantial. And jelly has been a life saver. It's basically just solid coloured water with a bit of sweetness and a little flavour. It has virtually no calories (of course no fibre or protein or fat either). When I have no fruit to go with my morning yogurt, jelly does the trick. If I need something quick coming in from work I grab a jelly. When I crave a little sweetness, I'll have a jelly. When I want to be naughty, I'll stuff a bar of chocolate in my mouth and wash it down with cider! (No I don't - I've been super strict).

So I haven't quite got round to formal exercise but (as you can see) who needs it when you have a ton of wood to carry into the garage? There was a lot. And it took awhile. You'd think the person taking the photo could have helped? Tee hee!

I've also been taking my lovely (nervous) dog for longer walks. We've had great weather (yes, snowy and cold but nice) and I've just got to it. We met a friend and her two dogs on Wednesday. I was wearing my wellies thinking it would just be muddy (all the snow seemed to have gone) so I was plodding rather than walking. There was still snow which was compacted and turned to ice so there was a lot of square dancing (trying to avoid the slippery bits). It was an interesting walk but we managed over 4 miles! My feet knew it though lol.

So delighted with my weight loss. It's going great and I'm finding it fine. So excited!!

It's okay if some people don't like you. Not everyone has good taste.
